This is an adorable, seemingly playful little kitty. The photograph itself is beautiful. It has a nice sharpness where it should, and a large enough depth of field to keep the entire subject in focus. Of course, I would prefer a color photo, but that is my opinion and I realize a lot of people would disagree with this view. The only real problem I have is an issue with the background. It's subtle, but it takes my attention away from the subject. It's the log (or tree..?) in the upper left hand corner. It's only a very small flaw, in an otherwise spectacular and cute capture. Well done!
This is a very beautiful portrait of your cat! For starters, the focus is brilliant. I love all the details that you've captured. From the blades of grass to each strand of furr, it really makes the image feel like you're seeing it in person. The colorless effect is a nice touch. It makes this image timeless. I love the look on the cat's eyes. The fact that you were able to get the cat looking at the camera like that is really impressive to me. Maybe all my cats are just super ADHD, but they never like focus on one thing for more then a second. All of your animal portraits are very beautiful, and I'm happy that they have an owner who clearly loves them so much. There really isn't much I can say as far as how to improve this. All in all, it's just a beautiful image.
